About Silver Tie Servers

You name the event, Silver Tie Servers is the party helper that will help you make it happen! Small or large, outdoors or inside, holidays, birthday parties, or a family barbecue, you can count on us to make it simple. We'll get all the details of your event by phone prior to the date.  On the day of the event we arrive early and work with you to discuss your needs. Our party helper attire consists of all black with our signature "Silver Bow Tie" (but we will gladly dress as you please.)

What Your Silver Tie Servers Will Do…

​

  • Your staff will on time or a little early, ready to work.

  • The uniform is formal for colder months-black button-down dress shirt a bow tie and name tag.

  • Warmer weather attire is black collared polo shirts.

  • They will set up chairs, linens, centerpieces, and other stations if requested.

  • Assess and organize kitchen to best suit a streamlined workspace.

  • Keep kitchen clean and workable throughout event.

  • Keep ice maintained for self-serve bar area.

  • Work with your caterer if necessary.

  • Assess all food for your guests, making note of any allergens in food.

  • Arrange buffet table for best flow of approaching guests

  • Light Sterno under chafing dishes to warm food.

  • Keep buffet clean and filled during dinner hour.

  • Heat up any appetizers or main dishes that need to be warmed before serving.

  • Plate and pass hors d’ouevres during cocktail hour if requested.

  • Continually bus tables and clear plates when your guests are finished.

  • Pay extra attention to elderly or disabled guests, guests of honor, or small children.

  • Make the transition from cocktail hour to dinner to dessert and coffee

  • Brew coffee

  • Cut wedding cake, serve cake, save and wrap cake top for bride and groom (if applicable).

  • Place cake slices in takeout containers for guests.

  • Wrap, label, and store all leftover food for host or hostess.

  • Completely clean party area and kitchen, remove trash and recycling if necessary.

  • Our staff will do their best to make your event as seamless and easy as possible.

  • If asked, they may stay longer than contracted time (time is added onto final balance).

  • Your server will do all of this while remaining calm, in control, and ready with a smile!
